4th of July

We started off our fourth with a bit of face / hand painting, followed by a photo shoot in front of the apartment. I wish I had taken a picture of the puzzled looks on people’s faces as they walked by and saw me taking pictures of my very patriotic little boy.

Towards the end of the “photo shoot”, Alex had such a big scowl on his face. If looks could kill, I’d surely be in trouble! When he sees this picture now, he thinks it’s hilarious and calls himself “grumpy”.

Later on, I made a cake and we had a very spontaneous BBQ with Claudio’s parents.

It’s amazing how patriotic you become esp. when spending your country’s independence day in another land.
