Spring

I haven’t done an update post in a while, so I’m just going to combine a few months together. We were in the U.S. from March 28th through April 25th. During that time, Alex had a 6-month doctor’s check up, and he had to get 4 shots. He weighed 18 pounds and was 27 inches long. He was in the 90th percentile for his height and 80th percentile for his weight. The doctor told us it would be okay to introduce solid foods to him, but to start off with a simple rice cereal. At first Alex was not very fond of the rice cereal, but since then he has grown to love it. He also loves eating baby food of all types of fruits, including: bananas, apples, apricots, strawberries and pears. He doesn’t like eating the vegetable baby food, so I have to combine that in his rice cereal. Besides eating, Alex loves to bite on everything/everyone that he comes in contact with. He is constantly drooling and whenever someone holds him, they get the “drool shoulder.” Just recently Alex began putting his thumb in his mouth and blowing air out, making a silly noise, which he happens to think is hilarious.

Alex spent his first Easter in Maryland with all of my wonderful Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. We also had a wonderful visit with Aunt Joanne the following day.

Later on in the week, my mom, Alex and I went down to North Carolina to visit my sister and to meet the newest addition, Olivia Grace. She is absolutely precious and we enjoyed the time we spent with all of them. Lily, Stevie and Annie are growing up so fast, I could hardly believe my eyes. From the time we were there I saw Lily being her usual “little mommy” by taking care of everyone. Stevie was always on a mission and I saw him faithfully water plants each day. Annie is such a little cutie with such a big personality. I enjoyed her reading a book to me and impersonating each of the characters with a different voice.

We returned back to Switzerland on April 25th. Claudio decorated the apartment with balloons, drawings and little decorations scattered about. It was really cute.

Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful pictures of your Spring visit, Steph! You captured so many events of all of the places we visited! Everyone enjoyed seeing you and Alex!! His sweet smile made everyone happy! Thank you for taking the time to work on this amazing display!
    Love always, Mom and Dad

  2. Aww…Alex is such a dollbaby. My little ones never liked rice cereal much, either. It seemed like they spit most foods back at me for the first several months that they were eating solids. His chubby cheeks are just too cute.
